Luxor: Sofra

8.24.10

While in Luxor, we dined at Sofra, a local restaurant serving traditional Egyptian cuisine.  My good friends Ashley and her husband Doug highly recommended this restaurant.  We were able to sit on the roof of the restaurant, which was decorated in a traditional manner with a limited amount of tables.  This was a nice setting as diners were able to hear the muslin calls from the local mosques throughout the evening.

For the meal, I opted for the pigeon while Devin chose the lamb shanks with okra.  We ended the meal with a traditional mint and apple shisha respectively.  If you ever visit Luxor, you must stop by this restaurant!
