Taste of Brooklyn: The River Cafe

I had the pleasure of eating at The River Cafe. I’ve always walked past it emerging out of DUMBO or from the Brooklyn Bridge Park, but hadn’t yet found an occasion special enough to visit. The location is special in it’s own right, perched on the banks of the East River in Brooklyn underneath the Brooklyn Bridge. With lights strewn about and an abundance of fresh cut flowers in the entry and patio areas, it felt more reminiscent of a botanical garden than standard restaurant.

Tonight, I was able to celebrate with good friends and share a multi-course meal with their family and friends.

The Roasted Tenderloin-this was the most tender and flavorful cut of beef I have had in awhile

The combination of the view, live music, 50 degree weather, and impeccable service all lent itself to a wonderful evening. If you ever find yourself in Brooklyn and are looking for a first-class dining experience, look no further than The River Cafe.

Good friends. Good food. Good views. Good night!
